El Corrido del RM
Traditional norteño · Male voice
Señores, pongan oídos,
que les canto con fervor
la historia del RM,
hombre de raíz y valor.
Nació en Ensenada, Baja,
junto al mar y a la bahía,
con sangre mexicana en las venas
que lo guiaba cada día.
Why a corrido for your pet?
They're family
And like everyone in the family, they get sung about with pride.
Their quirks, made into a song
What they steal from the table, where they sleep, when they wake you up: it all fits in a corrido.
To laugh or to remember
Funny or epic, or as a tribute if they've already crossed the rainbow bridge.
From a story to a corrido
WHAT YOU TELL US
“For my cat Canela, an orange cat from Jalisco who runs the house. She knocks everything off the table, suns herself in the window and only pays attention to me at dinner time.”
HOW THEIR CORRIDO STARTS
De Jalisco es Canela,
la gata más presumida,
tira todo de la mesa
y se duerme muy tranquila.
Se asolea en la ventana
como dueña del lugar,
y solo me hace caso
cuando le doy de cenar.
An example to show how it works. Your corrido is written from scratch with your story.
How it works
- 1
Tell us the story
Who they are, where they're from, what makes them one of a kind. More detail makes a better corrido.
- 2
Pick the sound
Tumbado, sierreño, traditional norteño or banda. Heroic, funny, romantic or tribute.
- 3
We write and record it
The lyrics follow the classic form: the greeting, the story and the farewell. A person reviews them before recording.
- 4
