El Corrido del RM
Traditional norteño · Male voice
Señores, pongan oídos,
que les canto con fervor
la historia del RM,
hombre de raíz y valor.
Nació en Ensenada, Baja,
junto al mar y a la bahía,
con sangre mexicana en las venas
que lo guiaba cada día.
New regional sound, with their story
It sounds like today's corridos
Requinto runs, twelve-string guitar and tuba, a relaxed, confident voice. Not a ballad in disguise.
It talks like them
Their nicknames, their neighborhood, their job and their stories. Never narco or violence.

From a story to a corrido
WHAT YOU TELL US
“For my boyfriend Alex, from Phoenix. He works in real estate, always dresses sharp, loves watches and says everything takes discipline.”
HOW THEIR CORRIDO STARTS
Bien planchado anda el Alex,
con su reloj y su visión,
de Phoenix pa' donde sea,
disciplina es su canción.
Tranquilo pero seguro,
cada trato lo cerró,
lo que tiene no fue suerte,
fue el esfuerzo que le echó.
An example to show how it works. Your corrido is written from scratch with your story.
How it works
- 1
Tell us the story
Who they are, where they're from, what makes them one of a kind. More detail makes a better corrido.
- 2
Pick the sound
Tumbado, sierreño, traditional norteño or banda. Heroic, funny, romantic or tribute.
- 3
We write and record it
The lyrics follow the classic form: the greeting, the story and the farewell. A person reviews them before recording.
